Taking from the ancient aesthetic philosophy of Wabi-sabi, Experimentia is the exploration of handmade objects made with a purpose to be broken, uneven glaze, fissures and cracks, evoke a perverse beauty in their deliberate imperfection.

Materials under stress reveal shear strength and fragility.

All pieces made from solid black clay formed from one pieces of clay and broken in three. The surface treated with a porcelain slip, kiln wash mixture and thick iron glaze. Fired in oxidation.
